With our combined Spanish courses, you have the best of both worlds. You get to enjoy the social aspect of studying in a group whilst still being able to focus on your specific learning needs. This makes our combined Spanish course a popular choice with students of all ages and focuses. Daily group lessons are divided into two blocks, one teacher for each half, with a small break in the middle. This gives you time to cover all aspects of Spanish language learning each day: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. The 24 hours Combined course includes four hours of private lessons a weekly, two hours twice a week from 16.00 to 18.00h any two days you prefer from Monday to Friday. Your private lessons will be adapted to your goals and specific Spanish language needs.

If you will be applying for a student visa application with your course at Speakeasy we will help you with the entire visa application process. All long-term course packages include all necessary application documents that you will need from the school. We have years of experience helping non-EU citizens to obtain their long-term student visas. We know it can be quite daunting and complex but you can take comfort in the fact that we will be there for you each step of the way.
Speakeasy is happy to offer you a selection of accommodation types if you need help finding a home away from home during your stay in Barcelona. Options include a room in a shared private apartment, host family, full private apartment or a room in a student residence. Most of our apartments, families and residences are located within 20 minutes from the school and the city center by public transport.
In addition to the comfort of knowing that you will be fully covered throughout your stay in Spain, many student visas require students to be covered with comprehensive medical insurance. If you plan to stay in Spain for more than 180 days and you need a long-term student visa (type D), you must have insurance with full coverage of medical services in Spain.

- Do I have to pay for the course fee upfront in full?
Yes, the payment for the course must be in full and in paid in advance.This way your spot for the duration of the whole course will be reserved. It is also a requirement by the embassy if you are applying for a student visa.
- What are host families like?
A host family can be a married or unmarried couple, or a single person, with or without children. All host families speak Spanish, it is possible that they do not speak any other language. It´s a great way for you to practice your skills outside of the classroom!
- Does living with a host family include meals?
You have the option to choose a stay with no meals, with breakfast only or with half board (breakfast and dinner).
