Evening classes Overview
Working, studying, or living in Barcelona but unable to study Spanish during the day? Our evening Spanish classes at Speakeasy BCN are the perfect option for you.
Classes take place twice a week from 18:00 to 20:00. You can choose to study either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. This gives you plenty of time to work, study, or enjoy putting your Spanish skills to the test in Barcelona during the day.
The minimum booking for this course is 4 weeks, and you can extend your studies for as many weeks as you like. Our evening students progress one mini-level in 8 weeks and one full language level in 16 weeks.

Level after 12 weeks is an example of the expected progress if starting as a complete beginner. Price for 12 weeks is an example of what you would pay for 12 weeks with the 15% discount applied. Courses can be booked for any number of weeks, with discounts applied when weeks are booked together: 5% for 4+ weeks, 10% for 8+ weeks, and 15% for 12+ weeks.
Balance work, life, and Spanish learning in Barcelona
I’ve been at Speakeasy for two weeks doing the semi-intensive program (10h/week) and I’ve loved my experience. It was such a welcoming place from the second I walked in. (I would, no exaggeration, die for my teacher, Joan, who is so wonderful and cares about making sure we understand the material.) The weekly field trips, with bimonthly ones outside of the city, have made it so easy to make friends in a place I just moved to. The team was also very responsive when I was emailing months ago with questions. Would happily recommend Speakeasy to anyone looking to learn Spanish and meet new people in Barcelona!

Yes. All our teachers are native Spanish speakers from Spain. They all have a university degree, special training in ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera) and experience teaching Spanish to foreigners.

Yes! We have a range of ages at Speakeasy BCN so you will never feel out of place, whether you’ve just finished school or have decades of work experience. The average age of a student at Speakeasy BCN is 28.

Yes, you can. Booking a double room allows you to share your room with someone else. If you want to stay in a double room you'll need to book together with the friend/family member you will be sharing with. Each of you will have you’re your own single bed. You are responsible to find your roommate, we do not provide the service to match students together.

Yes. You can book your course week by week if you choose. Just keep in mind that you risk losing your spot in the same class if the class has previously been reserved by other students. Keep in mind that discounts are applied up from four weeks booked at a once.

Yes! If you give us one weeks’ notice, you can switch to a different schedule or re-evaluate your situation and move to a different class. See an overview of our Spanish courses here.
