Come in, we're open! It's business as usual at Speakeasy Barcelona

As the global situation continues to change, so too do the rules and regulations surrounding which business are allowed to remain open. A curfew and new restrictions were announced a few weeks ago by the Spanish government. Luckily for the staff and students at Speakeasy, it stated that schools were able to continue welcoming alumni so long as they adhere to rigid safety standards.

How are we considering your safety?

As always, the health and safety of our students and staff remain our prime concern. Since re-opening in July for in-person classes, we’ve maintained the highest standard of safety measures. These include:

• Staggering arrival and break times for students

• Reducing the number of students in each classroom

• Frequently disinfecting classrooms, bathrooms and common areas

• Using protective screens, disinfecting hand gels and soaps

• Using personal protective equipment, such as masks or visors

• Taking all student’s and teacher’s temperature upon entering class each day

We have also paid close attention to monitoring staff and students’ health to conduct proper contact tracing. This way if anyone in a classroom has tested positive, you’ll be notified.

How does this affect classes?

It doesn’t! Because we were so successful in blending online classes with in-person classes, the choice is yours. In-person classes are just as fun and dynamic and they were before – but with masks and extra precautionary measures. If you’re more comfortable studying from home, that is also an option.
