This week we’ll have a picnic on the beach to kick off in-person activities to a good start! Games, drinks, snacks, music, chats, frisbee and more in a great company! Beers are on us so join us this Friday to toast to a new activities season!

However, there are other buildings from the same period that are impressive and were designed by other great architects. We are going to learn about the history of emblematic buildings of modernism and its architects!

Cinema fans cannot miss this virtual event! This Friday at 18h our professor Xavi will talk about censorship in the cinema of Francoist Spain. We will learn about the origin, taboo themes, blacklists and will see some scenes from the movies whose directors circumvented censorship with imagination.

This Friday, 08/05 at 18h, our teacher, Néstor, will give us a vision of the art, architecture, gastronomy and culture of Barcelona ​​through the film directed by Woody Allen, Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Join us this Wednesday at 18.30h with Speakeasy´s very own Joan in a virtual trip to Cuba! He will guide us through one of the most peculiar countries of America via its lesser-known landscapes, music, its revolution, a writer and some typical drinks.

This Friday, May 1st, is Día Internacional del Trabajador (Labor day in some countries). Join our very own Laura (this Wednesday, 29/04 at 17.30h) as she takes us through the history of this international day in Barcelona from its origins to its significance and representation in current times.

In this virtual culture class we will learn about Miguel de Cervantes and Federico García Lorca. Our Speakeasy teacher, Laura, will enlighten us on these two Spanish writers widely regarded as the greatest writers in the Spanish language.
