As the weather is improving, we are going to enjoy a walking tour in the heart of Barcelona - the Gothic Quarter. This time only, it will be completely free for our students! We will visit the most important enclaves of the old town of Barcelona, learn more about its history and how people lived in that time. The tour will be in Spanish, so you will be able to practice your listening skills! We will finish our tour in a tearoom and enjoy an exquisite Arabic tea together.

This Wednesday, we will visit the first major project of the greatest Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí. This lesser-known summer house of the Vicens family was built between 1883 and 1885 and boasts an orient style, which was very popular during this period. However, you can begin to see the talent of Gaudi and the seed of his genius designs that influenced later works.

This Thursday, we are going to an iconic place in Barcelona - the Picasso Museum. It holds one of the most extensive collections of artworks by the 20th-century Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso. The museum is located in five adjoining medieval palaces in Barcelona's La Ribera neighborhood, a prestigious location of merchants and nobility from the Gothic to Baroque periods

Spanish is not only the language of Spain, it's also the mother tongue of a lot of Latin American countries! This Tuesday, we'll meet for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. We will enjoy typical Mexican cuisine, like spicy tacos and nachos, mescal and aqua de Jamaica. Join us to practice your Spanish outside the classroom!

We are going to enjoy a Coldplay tribute concert performed by a talented pianist, Laura Andrés. What's more is the spectacular candlelight location where it will be held. She will cover the Coldplay hits like Clocks, Don’t Panic, Paradise, Viva la Vida and much more of your favorites! This popular event takes place in the spectacular modernist location of the Estación de Francia, inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in 1929.

This Wednesday, we will take part in a photography workshop especially organized for Speakeasy students by renowned design school, LCI! We will learn the secrets of different poses, how to apply techniques to achieve professional photos, and the most flattering types of lighting.

We are going to the cinema to watch one of the most-awaited major releases of the year – The Batman. The cast is spectacular - Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Jeffrey Wright. It will be shown in English (original language) with subtitles in Spanish. This is an excellent way to learn new words in Spanish. Come enjoy an end-of-the-week cinema escape with us!

This Thursday we are going to visit the exhibition of great surrealist artist - Rene Magritte. The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings from museums and collections around the world. We will see a retrospective that explores his surprising and attractive work, characterized by playing with visual logic and questioning our perceptive categories.

We are going to visit the first exhibition of one of the main contemporary photographers of present time - Steve McCurry. In this, his first exhibition in Barcelona, McCurry presents 80 images from his startling career, taken from 1981 to 2019. A master of composition, colour and contrast, McCurry’s true talent lies in capturing the human condition.

This Wednesday, we are going to slow down and enjoy a yoga class together. Don't worry if you've never practiced yoga before, no prior knowledge is required! You will learn different breathing techniques, mantras and asanas (the postures) adapted to your level.

We will have a guided tour of one of the world’s most unique modernist jewels - Palau de la Musica Catalana. Designed in the Catalan modernist style by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and inaugurated in 1908 and declared one of the UNESCO World Heritage. We will discover the secrets of a century-old house from the foundation of Palau to the artistic prodigies of stained-glass, columns, sculptural sets, mosaics

Next Saturday, 26th of February, we are making a day trip to visit two of the most famous cities in the south of France. Montpellier is one of the most iconic tourist destinations in France, and home to an astonishing selection of attractions, activities and events. Nîmes is full of beautiful corners, although the legacy of the Romans is so magnificent that we could almost say that it overshadows everything else. Not for nothing is Nîmes called French Rome.

This Wednesday, we will visit an immersive exhibition of one of the foremost artists of the world - Vincent van Gogh. The interactive exhibition allows visitors to explore his works through a multisensory experience, from the most sophisticated animation to smells and music

We will take part in a creative masterclass in which you will make your own painting! A teacher will guide you at all times so that you learn to apply all the necessary techniques to your work of art. The activity is designed for everyone, so even if you don't have any experience, the result is sure to surprise you for the better. And of course we will drink some wine, enjoy some snacks, chat and have fun!

This Thursday, we are going to visit one of Barcelona's lesser-known jazz clubs to enjoy the music of local jazz musicians. The club has a special atmosphere, natural wines, signature cocktails and artisanal beers. Join us and enjoy the music alongside your classmates!

This Friday, we will have an end-of-the-week beer and some tapas at one of Barcelona's biggest breweries - Moritz. Considered the "first" beer in Barcelona, it must be tried! Join us to celebrate the end of the week by trying this classic Barcelona beer and mingling with your Speakeasy classmates!

This Wednesday, we will visit an immersive exhibition of one of the foremost women artists of the world - Frida Kahlo. This exhibition combines digital arts with large-format audiovisual projections, augmented reality, virtual reality, and holography, representing the artist's biography through the new immersive languages.

We are going to visit the oldest and most well-known Christmas fair in the city- Santa Llùcia. This market has been held since 1786 next to Barcelona’s Cathedral. It's a nice opportunity to be inspired by Barcelona's Christmas atmosphere with your Speakeasy classmates, buy presents (if you still haven't!), and gawk at the biggest collection of "caganers" - the famous pooping Catalan boy.

We will take part in a creative workshop where you will make your own Christmas mug! You will have a personal mug sample that you can paint in any style. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share the Christmas atmosphere with your Speakeasy classmates.

We are going to visit the spectacular Christmas light show of the year. During Christmastime, a million lights illuminate the night and immerse the world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site into a magical scene. Join us to experience this journey and let yourself be enchanted by Christmassy splendor and Els Llums de Sant Pau.

We are going on a day trip to visit three unique locations in Catalunya on Sunday the 12th. Before lunch, we will explore the most beautiful medieval town of the region - Besalú. After that, we will go to Figueres, the town of Salvador Dali. The last location of the day will be one of the major Catalan cities - Girona. We will have a guided tour around the city and explore a local Christmas Market.

The proper way to get in the holiday spirit in Spain is to eat chocolate con churros. This freshly fried dough is dipped in hot chocolate, and if you're feeling extra gluttonous, with whipped cream on top! That's what we're going to do this Friday!
