We are going to visit one of the favorite spots for all sea fauna fans - the Barcelona Aquarium. The Barcelona Aquarium is the biggest in Europe. Each tank of the marine aquarium simulates a different sea region, such as the tropical and Mediterranean tanks.

We will visit one of the charming villages of Costa Brava and favourite city of acclaimed artist Salvador Dali - Cadaques. We’re going to enjoy its beaches, white streets full of flowers and small shops.

This Wednesday we are going to visit the museum of modern art of famous Catalan artist - Joan Miró. The museum holds by far the largest collection of Joan Miró's works today - over 10.000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, stage designs and tapestries.

This Friday, we will get lost in one of the most noteworthy gardens in Barcelona - the Gardens of Mossèn Costa i Llobera on the Montjuïc mountain. Join us to explore this unusual Barcelona spot and mingle with your Speakeasy BCN friends.

We are going to the cinema to watch a new jewel of the Marvel universe – The Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. This is a long-awaited sequel to the adventures of Stephen Strange, performed by talented Benedict Cumberbatch. It will be shown in English (original language) with subtitles in Spanish. This is an excellent way to learn new words in Spanish.

We will visit the exhibition of the renowned street artist, Banksy - The Art of Protest. This is a major international show featuring original artworks from private collections by the controversial British artist, whose identity remains a mystery. Join us to explore an immersive multimedia installation created especially for the show.

This Wednesday, we are going to have a picnic at one of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona enjoyed by both locals and visitors, Parc de la Ciutadella. Meet and mingle with your classmates, practice your Spanish outside the classroom and enjoy sun, music, drinks, and games! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!

On Saturday, we are making a day trip to visit a fascinating town on Costa Brava - Tossa de Mar. We will take a private bus in the morning and return in the evening. During the excursion, we will have a Spanish-speaking guide. We will explore the town, enjoy the Spanish springtime and maybe even take a dip in the Mediterranean Sea!

This Thursday, we will visit one of the greatest examples of Catalan modernism - Casa Amatller. The building was originally constructed in 1875, then redesigned as a residence for wealthy chocolatier and archaeological enthusiast Antoni Amatller between 1898 and 1900. We will visit the historic home's museum and after, enjoy some chocolate from this family in the café inside the house.

This Thursday, we will join a popular rooftop party in the city to experience the summer atmosphere in Barcelona.We will enjoy wonderful views of the city, talented local DJ's, nice tapas and drinks and much more. Join us to celebrate the arrival of summer and with your Speakeasy BCN classmates!

This Thursday, we will explore the legendary Barcelona spot where both locals and tourists share the same admiration - Parc Güell. This park is a stunning attraction that stands as a testament to the artistic and creative genius of Antoni Gaudi. We will visit the sprawling park and garden located on Carmel Hill and enjoy the aesthetic of Trencadis mosaic and gingerbread houses. And of course, get excited by the beautiful view of Barcelona from the top.

We will take part in a creative masterclass in which you will make your own ceramic piece! A teacher will guide you at all times so that you learn to apply all the necessary techniques to your work of art. The activity is designed for everyone, so even if you don't have any experience, you will make a mug, plate, or bowl come out with a unique piece! And of course, we will have some drinks, chat and have fun!

This Wednesday we will visit one of the oldest cafés in the city, a historic art nouveau style site that opened in 1896. Back in its time, it served as a hostel, bar and cabaret until it eventually became a central meeting point for Barcelona’s most prominent modernist figures, such as Pablo Picasso, Ramon Casas and Antoní Gaudí. Join us to dive into the atmosphere of Catalan modernism and mingle with your Speakeasy BCN classmates.

On the 18th of April, a public holiday in Spain, we are making a day trip to visit two of the most beautiful locations near Barcelona - Montserrat monastery and the town of Sitges. We will take a private bus in the morning and return in the evening. During the excursion, we will have a Spanish-speaking guide. We will see the abbey of the Order of Saint Benedict located on the mountain of Montserrat with twelve centuries of history and the best views in the area. Afterwards, we are going to visit the town of Sitges, famous by its charming beaches, fishermen's houses and cathedral.

This Wednesday, we will get lost in one of the most beautiful gardens in Barcelona - Parc de Laberint d'Horta.This Park was created in the end of 18th century as a garden in collaboration with Italian architect Domenico Bagutti. Two centuries after, it became the oldest conserved park with a labyrinth in the city. Once Neoclassical, with a slightly Italian look, it later adopted a Romantic style.

As the weather is improving, we are going to enjoy a walking tour in the heart of Barcelona - the Gothic Quarter. This time only, it will be completely free for our students! We will visit the most important enclaves of the old town of Barcelona, learn more about its history and how people lived in that time. The tour will be in Spanish, so you will be able to practice your listening skills! We will finish our tour in a tearoom and enjoy an exquisite Arabic tea together.

This Wednesday, we will visit the first major project of the greatest Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí. This lesser-known summer house of the Vicens family was built between 1883 and 1885 and boasts an orient style, which was very popular during this period. However, you can begin to see the talent of Gaudi and the seed of his genius designs that influenced later works.

This Thursday, we are going to an iconic place in Barcelona - the Picasso Museum. It holds one of the most extensive collections of artworks by the 20th-century Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso. The museum is located in five adjoining medieval palaces in Barcelona's La Ribera neighborhood, a prestigious location of merchants and nobility from the Gothic to Baroque periods

Spanish is not only the language of Spain, it's also the mother tongue of a lot of Latin American countries! This Tuesday, we'll meet for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. We will enjoy typical Mexican cuisine, like spicy tacos and nachos, mescal and aqua de Jamaica. Join us to practice your Spanish outside the classroom!

We are going to enjoy a Coldplay tribute concert performed by a talented pianist, Laura Andrés. What's more is the spectacular candlelight location where it will be held. She will cover the Coldplay hits like Clocks, Don’t Panic, Paradise, Viva la Vida and much more of your favorites! This popular event takes place in the spectacular modernist location of the Estación de Francia, inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in 1929.

This Wednesday, we will take part in a photography workshop especially organized for Speakeasy BCN students by renowned design school, LCI! We will learn the secrets of different poses, how to apply techniques to achieve professional photos, and the most flattering types of lighting.

We are going to the cinema to watch one of the most-awaited major releases of the year – The Batman. The cast is spectacular - Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Jeffrey Wright. It will be shown in English (original language) with subtitles in Spanish. This is an excellent way to learn new words in Spanish. Come enjoy an end-of-the-week cinema escape with us!

This Thursday we are going to visit the exhibition of great surrealist artist - Rene Magritte. The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings from museums and collections around the world. We will see a retrospective that explores his surprising and attractive work, characterized by playing with visual logic and questioning our perceptive categories.

We are going to visit the first exhibition of one of the main contemporary photographers of present time - Steve McCurry. In this, his first exhibition in Barcelona, McCurry presents 80 images from his startling career, taken from 1981 to 2019. A master of composition, colour and contrast, McCurry’s true talent lies in capturing the human condition.
