If you will be applying for a student visa application with your course at Speakeasy we will help you with the entire visa application process. All long-term course packages include all necessary application documents that you will need from the school. We have years of experience helping non-EU citizens to obtain their long-term student visas. We know it can be quite daunting and complex but you can take comfort in the fact that we will be there for you each step of the way.
Speakeasy is happy to offer you a selection of accommodation types if you need help finding a home away from home during your stay in Barcelona. Options include a room in a shared private apartment, host family, full private apartment or a room in a student residence. Most of our apartments, families and residences are located within 20 minutes from the school and the city center by public transport.
In addition to the comfort of knowing that you will be fully covered throughout your stay in Spain, many student visas require students to be covered with comprehensive medical insurance. If you plan to stay in Spain for more than 180 days and you need a long-term student visa (type D), you must have insurance with full coverage of medical services in Spain.
I loved studying at Speakeasy! The school is very well located, the staff very attentive from the first contact, the facilities are new and always clean, and they also organize activities outside of classes so that students can get to know each other and also Barcelona. Very good!
- What happens if my visa gets denied?
If your visa gets denied, we are happy to postpone your start state if you would like to apply again. Otherwise, you can send us the official denial letter and with this, we will refund you the full price of your long-term course minus a 250€ administration fee.
- Can I also share a room with another person (friend/family) in the host family's house?
Yes, you can. Booking a double room allows you to share your room with someone else. If you want to stay in a double room you’ll need to book together with the friend/family member you will be sharing with. Each of you will have you’re your own single bed. You are responsible to find your roommate, we do not provide the service to match students together.
- How long does it take to complete one level?
To finish one mini-level in our intensive course it takes two weeks and to finish an entire level it takes four weeks. Check out our course progression chart where you can compare how long it takes to complete each level for each type of Spanish course.
