Course overview

Our Long-term Spanish courses are a great option if you want to learn Spanish and enjoy living in Barcelona for a longer period of time. These courses meet the requirements to apply for a student visa in Spain. You’ll study 20 hours of Spanish each week and cover up to 6 levels of the CASA program. Classes are 4 hours each day, Monday through Friday, in the morning or in the afternoon. Class is divided into two blocks, one teacher for each half, with a small break in the middle. This gives you time to cover all aspects of Spanish language learning each day: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. You’ll also have the option to include the DELE exam preparation course in packages from 36 weeks and more.

Reviews

Lauren Chapman Speakeasy, March 2021

I started this program in November of 2020 and have been enrolled for 16 weeks. The amount I’ve progressed is tremendous. One of the main reasons I’ve advanced so far in my ability to speak, listen and write is due to the phenomenal teachers at this school. I had 4 different teachers with their own unique styles. I can say that every single one was amazing and pushed me to get to the point where I am now. Thanks to Olga, Marta, Verónica and Joan, I can now confidently say I speak Spanish and navigate myself through Spain without so much fear of having to communicate. I have met many students from other language schools who switched to Speakeasy and all of them have told me this school is the best Spanish learning school they’ve gone to due to the amazing professors. I highly recommend you take classes here!

FAQs

How far in advance must I register for my course?

You can register for a course any time before the start date. Just keep in mind that your spot in the course will only be reserved once you have made the payment in full, therefore the closer it gets to the start date of your course the more likely that the class will be full. We recommend that you book at least 3-4 weeks in advance to make sure you get a spot in your preferred course and schedule.

Can I get internet access at school?

Yes. We offer free student WIFI connection in all classrooms and resting areas at Speakeasy. The password and login information can be obtained in our reception. Besides our student WIFI you can also use our computers in the multimedia area.

Do I have to pay for the course fee upfront and in-full?

Yes, the payment for the weeks of the course you want your spot reserved in must be in full and in paid in advance. This way your spot for the duration of the whole course will be reserved. It is also a requirement by the embassy if you are applying for a student visa to have your long-term course paid in full before applying for the visa.
